OLIVIA BOATNER | OUR STEM CURRICULUM CONSULTANT

Ms. Boatner’s over 30 years in eduction and leadership exudes the capabilities to provide organizational support within a diverse setting. Ms. Boatner has successfully constructed multiple STEM curriculums for organizations and non-profits small and large. She has hosted and helped to launch from inceptions to execution some of the largest STEM camp and labs in the Houston area. She is currently a candidate for her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University. She completed her Master of Education & Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University.

She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services and Consumer Science from Texas Southern University.


Her professional experience includes current Director of Magnet Schools for Aldine ISD. She helps to coordinates with the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction and Area Superintendents of Magnet Schools to implement the magnet program including student placement, curriculum, and staff development. She is responsible for local and federal multi-million dollar fiscal budgets while overseeing the implementation of the Magnet School Lottery system and disseminate communication to district, parents, and community. Ms. Boatner leadership skills helps to foster collegiality and team-building environment among personnel which encourages active involvement in decision-making.


In her prior years as an Assistant Principal for a large ISD, she was responsible for assisting staff in planning, implementing, evaluating instruction, student achievement and maintain a system for monitoring student progress. She was also a SASI Coordinator. She routinely observes classroom instructions and provide teachers with feedback using district appraisal system. As a teacher she has always maintained a positive learning environment to ensure students received quality instruction through various types of teaching strategies.


MEET THE SLOAN STEM INSTRUCTORS

SANDRA HECTOR

Sandra Hector has been a teacher in the Aldine Independent School District for 20 years and served as Instructional Technology Specialist for the past 10 years.  She is passionate about exposing students to STEM and facilitates Robotic Club and Film Club at her school.  Mrs. Hector has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Masters in Instruction and Supervision.  She previously taught high school English in Guyana, South America and The Bahamas before joining the staff at Aldine ISD.

KYIANDRA HILDRETH

Kyiandra Hildreth is a highly skilled and overtly student-focused educational leader possessing a strong commitment to the development of students and staff while providing a stimulating, safe, and motivating learning environment.  She is a dynamic visionary school leader and solid team player with a proven track record of collaborating with the school and community, increasing student academics, and maintaining excellence in education. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and her Master of Science in Educational Human Resource Development, both from Texas A & M University. She is currently employed as an Engineering Lab Teacher for the Aldine Independent School District. 

ALICE HILL

Alice Hill began her career in the field of education 17 years ago. She is an innovative teacher who is motivated to assist in providing support and guidance to facilitate value-added service to her customers.  She received a Bachelors of Arts from Prairie View A&M University and currently works for the Aldine Independent School District.

ADOLPH MORRIS

Adolph Morris is a STEM Facilitator for the Aldine Independent School District. His focus is not only to educate and promote student achievement, but also to help mold students’ enthusiasm for computer science. His goal is also to create a positive learning environment which demonstrates that every student can achieve. Mr. Morris studied Structural Analysis Design and Fire and Safety Engineering at the University of Houston Downtown and has previously worked as a Structural Engineer for Dannenbaum Engineering.

PAMELA SCHWARTZ

Pamela Schwartz is a STEM Lab Facilitator for the Aldine Independent School District. She has over 20 years of experience in the education field. Ms . Schwartz received her Bachelor of Arts from Pitzer College in Claremont, California and has studied at both Ontario Montclair School District Intern Academy and the University of California at Los Angeles. 

CHERYL ZACHARY

Cheryl Zachary is a dynamic STEM educator with thirty-five years of teaching experience. She has a passion for teaching and helping young people grow as our future engineers. She runs positive, focused and energized lessons that motivate students to foster a lifelong appreciation for STEM based careers. Ms. Zachary received her Bachelors of Science From Texas A&M- Commerce and currently works for the Aldine Independent School District.
